FAQ - 4yr old Kindergarten Program

Our program in governed by the National Early Years Frame Work and the Victorian Early Years learning and Transition Framework.

We have links to local primary schools and support the child and their families to transition from Kindergarten to Prep.

Minimum age to commence 4 Year old Kindergarten is the child must be 4 years old by 30th April If your child was born during.Your child is eligible to attend Kindergarten in:
1 May 2012 - 30 April 2013 commence 2017
1 May 2013 - 30 April 2014 commence 2018
1 May 2014 - 30 April 2015 commence 2019
1 May 2015 - 30 April 2016 commence 2020
1 May 2016 - 30 April 2017 commence 2021

Am I eligible for Kindergarten Fee Subsidy? As we are a Long Day Care you may be entitled to CCB and/or CCR and therefore not entitled to Kindergarten Fee Subsidy.

Can I attend Kinder at Kids By The Bay and attend Kinder at another Kindergarten? No. Kids By The Bay runs a funded Long Day Kindergarten Program and children attending this program cannot attend another Kindergarten program.
