At Kids by the Bay, our Kindergarten programs offer the best of both worlds: a comprehensive Kindergarten curriculum and the convenience of Long Day Care.
Led by our Bachelor of Early Childhood Education qualified Kindergarten Teachers, our funded program thrives. Their expertise is complemented by our Diploma and Certificate III educators, creating a nurturing environment where learning flourishes.
Aligned with National and Victorian Curriculum Frameworks, our philosophy values each child as a capable learner. We foster independence and choice, empowering them to take responsibility for their learning outcomes. We encourage risk-taking within safe boundaries, promoting self-regulation and personal growth.
Our classrooms, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, feature diverse, aesthetically pleasing activities. Open-ended play spaces like painting, construction, storytelling, music, and dramatic play encourage problem-solving, creativity, and communication.
Outdoors, we instill wonder and nature connection, tending to chickens, nurturing a veggie patch, and embracing our serene environment.
Collaboration is key. Children and families actively participate in planning, evaluating, and resource sharing. We maintain an open-door policy, creating warm sense of community.
Daily documentation captures learning through photos and notes, shared with families via our learning journals. The Education Team is readily available for chats, and mid-year interviews track progress and readiness.
In Term 4, our 4yo Kindergarten Teacher prepares transition statements and liaises with local schools. School visits and a tailored lunchbox program further enrich our comprehensive approach.
Come and be part of our holistic educational journey at Kids by the Bay. Your child's growth and success are our shared priorities.
